Takshila Schools have been promoted by the people behind Delhi Public Schools at Patna, Pune and Ludhiana. The promoters started thier journey with Delhi Public School Patna in 1998. Over the next couple of years, they established two more Delhi Public Schools in Pune and Ludhiana respectively. Very shortly a fourth DPS will become operational in southern parts of India. All these Delhi Public Schools have been established with the collaborative tie-up with Delhi Public School Society, which has over 150 schools in its chain in India and abroad.

Takshila Schools are the embodiment of the promoters' philosophy of taking knowledge revolution to those cities and towns in India whose children till now have been denied the quality of education available in the metros of modern India.
